As senior vice president of marketing and media investment, Nicole Dorrler leads the team that produces truth®, the award-winning youth tobacco prevention campaign.
Dorrler is known for her passion, leadership, creativity, unique approach and results. In 2016 she accepted both the Advertising Working Mothers of the Year Award and the American Marketing Association’s Nonprofit Marketer of the Year Award.
She is responsible for leading numerous marketing agencies behind the campaign’s creative, media, interactive, social and grassroots marketing. Under her stewardship, the truth campaign has earned more than 400 awards and has been voted “Campaign of the Decade” (2000-2010) by the readers of AdWeek. In 2016, truth received four Effie awards (two gold, one silver and one bronze) and shared first place with CVS Health and Walmart as the most effective brand in the North American Effie Index.
During her decade at Truth Initiative®, Dorrler has been instrumental in establishing campaign partnerships and creating truth branded products, driving brand positioning and identifying and leveraging emerging media platforms, establishing digital data infrastructures to derive insights and acquisitions, and building mobile games and digital apps. She has engaged YouTube celebrities and social influencers to expand reach and integrated life-saving messages into original content, and docudramas.
Dorrler has more than 20 years of high-level marketing experience working with Volkswagen of America, Choice Hotels International, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, the Redskins and Bell Atlantic Mobile (now Verizon).
