Grants and scholarships

Truth Initiative offers grants and scholarships to support action on the ground, including opportunities for colleges and universities to adopt tobacco/vape-free campus policies and for students and young people to take action in their communities. Here are our current opportunities, and remember to check back for more.

Tobacco/Nicotine-Free College Program

The Truth Initiative Tobacco/Nicotine-Free College Program is offering two-year grants, up to a $20,000 total award, to colleges and universities to support either the adoption or implementation and enforcement of a 100% tobacco/nicotine-free policy and promote quitting. Grantees of the Tobacco/Nicotine-Free College Program receive guidance through webinars, an in-person training, and one-on-one consultations.

Since 2015, the Tobacco/Nicotine-Free College Program has provided funding to more than 235 colleges, universities, and college systems to advocate for and adopt 100% tobacco-free policies. Truth Initiative’s EX® Program, a comprehensive and free digital cessation intervention, can serve as a resource to help students, faculty, and staff on their journey to quit.

Impact Scholarship

Truth Initiative empowers and enables young people to be change-makers in their communities — but we know not everyone who has the power to make change has the resources. The truth Impact Scholarship is awarding three $5,000 scholarship to three people as a kickstart toward shaping their futures and reaching their goals. Impact Scholarship winners will work with truth to inspire others to take action and be part of our movement of ending tobacco use for good.
