How Truth Initiative can help D.C. nonprofits become good neighbors in the fight to end tobacco use
Nonprofits in the Washington, D.C., area could be eligible for a $2,000 sponsorship from the Truth Initiative Good Neighbor Fund to help fund projects encouraging youth to reject tobacco.
The program supports projects focused on messaging or activities related to preventing youth or young adults 13-24 years old from using tobacco or helping them quit using tobacco. Preference will be given to projects that target groups disproportionately affected by tobacco, including minority youth, LGBT youth, and low-income youth.
The Good Neighbor Fund supports projects at nonprofits that are designated as a 501(c)3 organization by the IRS . Funding cannot be used to support fundraising or political activities.
