Truth Initiative Training FAQs
Thank you for your interest in receiving specialized training from Truth Initiative! Before you submit, here are some of the most commonly asked questions we’ve received. If you can’t find an answer to your question, reach out to Diamond Miller at [email protected] for an answer and recommendations.
Are you still offering in-person, public training while COVID-19 is in North America?
Our organization is monitoring the COVID-19 situation and adjusting the in-person schedule for the remainder of 2020.
If you are registered for an in-person training in 2021, we will notify you via your contact information should CDC recommendations remain in place for restricting large gatherings. Truth Initiative plans to resume in-person trainings in 2021 unless recommended otherwise.
How do I register for the training?
Please click on the “Request a Training’ tab under the Get Involved tab on the Truth Initiative website. Please complete all required fields on the form and click submit. Someone from the Youth Leadership Development will be in touch with you shortly thereafter to set up an initial call to discuss your training request further.
Am I immediately approved for the training once I submit the form?
Submitting the training request does not guarantee a training. An initial call will be set up to discuss your training request further and to assess training requirements.

When possible our training team will draw on local examples and issues relevant to the community being trained. Training content and formats are generally set but can be adjusted in a few places as needed.
How much does a training cost?
There is no cost associated with trainings requested from Truth Initiative. Training requests are assessed to an internal training rubric and once the request has been approved, our team will provide a youth trainer, the training material, and the training platform for the requesting organization at no cost.
How long do the trainings generally last?
Our team can modify the training based on your specific needs, but trainings typically last between 45 mins to 1 hour.

You will need both a laptop or phone with video conferencing capabilities along with internet access. All trainings are currently being implemented on the Zoom Conferencing Platform which requires an internet connection, a compatible operating system, a supported browser for web start, and processor requirements.
