Katelynd Todd is a first-generation college student from Jacksonville, Florida. She is pursuing a master’s degree in public health at the University of California Berkeley School of Public Health, with a focus on epidemiology and biostatistics. She earned a bachelor’s degree in health education and behavior from the University of Florida.
Todd is interested in the relationship between research and policy, and how environments impact disease. As a Truth Initiative youth activism fellow in 2016-17, she worked with community partners to pass a comprehensive tobacco-free policy at two student apartment complexes in Berkeley, California.
In addition to her work in Berkeley, Todd works with U.S. health departments to provide technical assistance to increase the inclusiveness of programming and policies for people with disabilities.
Todd has served on the Truth Initiative board of directors since 2018.
