Senior Vice President, Development

Truth Initiative

Christy Hartsell is responsible for leading our efforts to engage with companies, government entities, foundations and other organizations to provide critical funding to support the organization’s mission and expand the reach of the organization's work, as the senior vice president of development at Truth Initiative®.

Hartsell brings a track record of media and nonprofit experience to her role at Truth Initiative. She led corporate relations at influential nonprofit organizations, including the National Park Foundation and the USO. At the National Park Foundation, Hartsell developed partnerships with Disney, Subaru, AirWick, Arm & Hammer and others in the approach to the centennial of the National Park Service. She and her team also developed a partnership with L.L. Most recently, Hartsell helped the field staff at the American Heart Association build its corporate partnerships in support of creating heathy lives, free of cardiovascular disease and stroke.

Hartsell spent the first 20-plus years of her career in media. She built The Washington Times’ internet advertising business.
