Curriculums to Address Vaping Nicotine & Prescription Drug Misuse

Our free digital courses offer modern approaches to guide teachers and educate youth about the dangers associated with e-cigarette use and with misusing prescription medications, including counterfeit drugs containing fentanyl.

Through real-world scenarios delivered in truth’s authentic peer-to-peer youth voice, students are empowered to make healthy and informed choices and help others do the same.

Vaping: Know the truth

To educate America’s students about the health dangers of e-cigarette use and reverse the pervasive youth vaping public health crisis, Truth Initiative and Kaiser Permanente, in collaboration with the American Heart Association, launched a national youth vaping prevention curriculum called Vaping: Know the truth. This free digital learning experience is part of Truth Initiative’s nationally recognized truth campaign and made available to schools by leading social impact education innovator, EVERFI.

In addition to encouraging students to live vape-free lives, this self-led interactive-curriculum offers resources to help young people who are currently using e-cigarettes to quit through truth’s first-of-its-kind text message youth quit vaping program called This is Quitting already helping over 700,000 youth and young adults on their journeys to quit.

Prescription Drug Safety: Know the truth

To help young people better understand and navigate the growing prescription drug misuse crisis in our country, Prescription Drug Safety: Know the truth educates middle and high school students about the facts, risks, and dangers of misusing prescription medications and counterfeit pills containing fentanyl. Prescription Drug Safety: Know the truth marks the second collaboration between Truth Initiative and EVERFI and is modeled after the success of Vaping: Know the truth.
